Our Story

The Commercial Road precinct of Prahran offers locals one of the best fresh food shopping experiences in Melbourne. This store was the first The Source Bulk Foods in Victoria and being directly opposite the Prahran market entrance, we make it easy for you to pick up all your pantry needs in one trip. This shop has an amazing following of foodies who like to purchase their produce without wasteful packaging.

Our roomy store has over 380 products on offer including local honey, local kombucha on tap, nuts, seeds, grains, both personal and household cleaning products, and so much more. Reducing the impact on the environment is an important objective as we work towards minimising the use of plastic and other wasteful packaging.

To help you reduce your waste, The Source Bulk Foods welcomes customers to bring their own containers in to fill with any product, You can also cut back your food waste by buying just the amount of an ingredient needed for a particular recipe – no leftover packets getting pushed to the back of the pantry to go stale!
